Bird Dog Bourbon Whiskey

Smooth finish, easy drinking

I like this brand, I find it similar to Buffalo Trace with a smooth finish, and softer bite than most whiskey's With very light semi-sweet notes, it mixes very well in cocktails and sodas. Good stuff.

This is prob #5 in my top 10.very nice taste.

Freeland Spirits Bourbon Whiskey

This is a well rounded whiskey just complex enough to make it very interesting but still super smooth and easy to drink! Love the Pinot noir finish giving it a nice deep berry note along with the Carmel and vanilla expected in a bourbon. A good representation in its finish of how blending can up the ante of a whiskey and the Pinot finish from elk cove really gives it some of Oregons amazing terroir.
Everyone has a different palate but it’s nice to have a whiskey blended with a unique identity and not pay $90 for the bottle.

Jim Beam Winter Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

“Winter Edition” caught my attention. The spice notes made me order two bottles, one as a gift for my younger son and the other one for me. Keeping in mind a bottle of Jim Beam costs $17.00, would this be worth the price? My answer is yes it is! It’s smooth and the spice notes do come through. OK it doesn’t have the depth profile of most $50.00 bottles but I don’t mind saving $30 now and then and I’m about to order a couple more bottles. It IS 86 proof not 90 as posted. My son hasn’t opened his yet but I know his tastes at 27 years old and he’ll like it a lot.

Cooper's Mark Sugar House Maple-Flavored Bourbon Whiskey

Only for Old Fashions with “general company.”

The maple flavor is very pronounced when you open the bottle. To use this bourbon with a “mixer” is almost a must. Not bad, just overwhelming by itself

I’ve tasted Ole Smokey’s house bourbon alongside James Ownby Reserve, which is as smooth as it gets, and I honestly can’t tell the two apart!
Ole Smokey’s house bourbon whisky earns an absolute 10 in my humble opinion.

W.L. Weller Special Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Until internet "experts", flippers, speculators, and just plain folks suffering from FOMO overhyped this bourbon as the second coming of Pappy Van Winkle a few years ago, this was a solid, low proof, wheated bourbon that was well worth the $19.99 - $30 most shops charged for it. It is NOT worth the nearly $70 price for a 750ml bottle. As another reviewer mentioned, if you're looking for a solid wheated bourbon, don't fall for the hype. Maker's Mark Cask Strength can be had for around the same price point, and you get more bang (and flavor) for your buck. The Antique 107 version is a little better, but again, worth the $50 it was selling for less than a decade ago, not the nearly $200 it sells for today.

Excellent Texas Bourbon

Excellent Texas distilled sipping Bourbon. A little bit on the sweet side but the long lasting tails were greatly appreciated.
This is a rebuy for sure and will keep proudly on my bourbon shelf!

I am no expert at all on Bourbons and just learning, but a local restaurant owner allowed me to try this one and I was absolutely amazed. So very smoothe. Then I researched the history, bought one as a gift and one for me. I will definitely make this a favorite!!

I know there are bourbons with various wine casks influences but as far as straight bourbon smoothness this may be the best I’ve ever tasted especially for the price.

Surprising bourbon, especially for the price point. Pooukarity is going up as it’s hard to find in local stores. Usually priced between 21 and 24 dollars a handle locally, so a little surprised to see Caskers prices at approx 28. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Not sure it's worth the price. Very smooth. Probably wouldn't buy it again. Too many other choices at this price point that I feel are better. Knob Creek 9 year would be a better buy.

I fealt the same way chilepeepa did on his initial experience with GB. Not impressed and had a pallet I was not sure I liked all that much. Then I caved and bought a Guadalupe and then a Balmorea. I reall changed my mind. A great friend came by with a bottle of Cowboy. We got pretty hammered tasting all three. Then we started blending the 3 GB's we had. I knew we were snockered then. We had a blast. Too expensive to be experimenting blending your own though. LOL in conclusion yes I have come to really enjoy GB.

TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey

I honestly don't care for their blended whiskey but their straight bourbon is truly outstanding, especially for the price point. I enjoy drinking it neat, no hug, very smooth, lingering finish in a good way. I belong to a bourbon club, plan on blind tasting it down the road, quite confident this bourbon will score surprisingly well. Definitely will buy again.

This is my favorite go to bourbon. I’ve not had super expensive bourbons but for the average person like myself this is one of the bests in my personal opinion. I’ve also had the HD Revelation and that was pretty tasty also. I just gave my neighbor and one of my good friends a bottle to try and they both loved it.

I picked up a bottle of this based on a local store clerk’s recommendation. I immediately regretted not reading the label, which clearly stated “Blended Whiskey”. I have a keen sense of smell and did not detect the symphony of aromas touted in this product description. I know likes and dislikes are purely subjective so I’ll only say I found the flavor profile to be light, thin and hot. Not pleasant. If you aren’t a fan of grain neutral spirits you will not like this.

I had immediate buyers remorse when I tried to sip on this. Terrible to be honest. It redeemed itself a bit later when I mixed it with Coke. It is actually smooth in Coke. As a sipper you are 1000 percent better off with the cheaper Buffalo Trace.

Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon Whiskey

Tried this out at a local establishment. Definitely impressed with the great notes that come through. Even more impressed that it is a sub $40 bottle. I'm on my third bottle and its one I look forward to pouring. Offered novice brother in law several other pours and this was the winner by far. Time for another bottle.
