Cooperstown Distillery a farm distillery and member of The Cooperstown Beverage Trail. They practice high-quality artisanal distilling methods, crafting their spirit almost entirely from New York State grains. They produce a full line of unique spirits.

Abner Doubleday’s Double Play Bourbon is sourced from Indiana and blended several times. It’s a blend of both younger and aged bourbons and has a mature character of a fine older bourbon. Bottled in the signature Abner Doubleday Baseball Decanter at 90 proof.

About Cooperstown Distillery

According to legend, the sport of baseball was invented in the pastures of Cooperstown, NY by American Civil War general Abner Doubleday — while many historians now consider this account to be a myth, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was nonetheless established in Cooperstown, and the town has virtually become synonymous with the sport of baseball itself.

"Opening a micro-distillery in Cooperstown has been a dream in the making for quite a few years," states Gene Marra, founder of Cooperstown Distillery. Indeed, Marra has successfully married two of America’s greatest pastimes — baseball and distilling — in Cooperstown Distillery, which is a certified "farm distillery" sourcing and utilizing over 51% of New York State based agricultural products.

Tasting Notes

The small grains in the bourbon add softness while delivering layers of depth and complexity. The result is a smooth bourbon that with caramel, butterscotch and sweet toffee finish.
