Good flavor, good price, can’t go wrong with that

I’m using this bottle to make my occasional Irish coffee and it is standing up perfectly with all the flavors. I’ll probably buy another bottle once I finish the one I got.

Smoother than expected

After some research prior to ordering, we were pleasantly surprised by the smooth finish to this beverage.
It has a powerful presence to the nose up front and in the initial taste, but the finish is quite nice and if you're not careful can provide a false sense of security if you get too comfortable with it. It does not take much to pack a punch.
The flavor does not come off as Whiskey, Vodka or Tequila, it seems to stand on it's own as a spirit, or a combination of the aforementioned three.

Will definitely purchase again. If we can locate it in stock.

Neat or on ice, it's not nice. Plasticky taste with bitter background. Goes down rough and sits there. Worst whiskey I've had in some time. Will avoid going forward.

My husband ordered this by mistake. He says it is awful. Very harsh with an unpleasant taste and aroma. Glendalough Gin is very good.

Used Glendalough in a tasting I conducted along with Red Breast 12, Green Spot and Quiet Man. All 10 people raved about Glendalough. Smooth and excellent taste. Most had not heard of Glendalough since it is not offered in Virginia ABC stores.

My wife purchased the Redbreast Lustau Edition and I find it exceptional in taste, I think that it some ways it tastes better and is more aromatic and pleasing than my much more expensive 21 years old Irish whiskey. I was skeptical at first and asked her not to purchase the Lustau. I am very happy that she made the purchase. This Irish whiskey is such an exceptional value. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Redbreast 27 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

I'm not kidding when I say 5 of us were all very excited to try this, being huge redbreast fans, and we all had the exact same reaction to the finish, it tastes like green onions. I didn't say a word waiting to see if anyone else noticed, but we all said the same. Stick with the excellent other redbreast choices.

I found this beauty when I visited Dublin a few years ago, was intrigued by the name. They gave me a sample and i was hooked. Am now thrilled to find I can get this in the US, as I was only previously able to get it from Ireland. Clean, crisp, wonderful Irish whisky, you cannot go wrong with this.

There are definitely some good whiskey out there for $30 or less and this is one of them. I am not ashamed to say I love this. Smooth like butter with hints of honey and vanilla. This whiskey gets a bad rap just because of who it's associated with. Not fair.

I picked up two bottles of Red Breast 27 year old on recommendation of my store manager. We discussed the 20 year old and 15 year olds at length. He had recently had sampled Louis Xlll cognac and compared the complexities of both as being very similar. I have to agree a poor man’s Louis Xlll cognac at 1/10 the price.

I have no clue as to the taste of any Irish whiskey other than as an Irish coffee ingredient. Primarily, I use Jameson to clean and sweeten my smoking pipes. It is particularly appropriate when cleaning my Petersons. It is also just fine in Irish coffee.

Redbreast 27 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Not sure. Smell and opening tastes very nice and smooth. Confused about the finish though, as it had an overpowering taste of must or mildew on the back end. Not sure if this is a bad bottle or not. Due to the overwhelming positive reviews I may order another bottle and give it one more try. Wonder if anyone else has had this experience. Definitely a disappointment though. I did report it to Caskers. My bottle came in fully sealed. Maybe it was just a bad batch?

My palate is not nearly as refined as my friends and family, but they love this whiskey, and I can't blame them. I can't explain why I like it. I just do. We drink this regularly, and it is a staple at Daint's, here 6 miles off the Maine coast.

Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Green Spot is tied with Redbreast 12 for being my favorite Irish Whisky around the $50-60 mark. To me the nose is heavy with green apple, cloves, even some light banana bread or coconut. All of these carry over in the taste, which is incredibly smooth and like Redbreast is a wonderful mix of the typical Irish biscuit notes and a heavy portion of fruit, like the nose Green Spot reminds me of green apples and light tropical fruits. This is one of my go-to's and one I frequently recommend to Irish lovers.

The Whistler Distillers Select Double Oaked Irish Whiskey

Smooth, malt-y Irish Whiskey

Flavors of the malted grain, a little oak sweetness, and very smooth in the mouth. The vanilla notes come to the front when a few drops of water are added to the shot. Excellent Irish for the price.

A different sort of Irish

This is a sourced blend, bottled by a distillery that is building their own whiskey still with plans to begin making their own spirit in late 2021. If you expect a "traditional" Irish (such as Jameson or Red Breast), or if you expect a "peated irish" like Connemara, you'll be surprised - pleasantly so, I hope. The peat notes are gentle and herbal, especially on the nose, compared to the briny smoke you get in Islay Scotch. I believe this may be because Irish peat has different vegetation than much of Scottish peat. The label does not give the mash bill (it just says "peated single malts with soft grain"), but I wouldn't be surprised if there is more than just barley in there. Moderately complex, there are several notes to be discovered. Definitely worth a try.

I like Teeling but...

For my taste the regular Teeling is superior to the single Pot Still and is more price friendly. Of all the Teeling varieties, the Single Grain Teeling is my favorite. That one can also be found here on Caskers.

Pleasant-Smooth-Tastey

I try and have a rounded experience with Irish Whiskey’s meaning I’m not shy of having a broad price point. My take on this Teeling Single Pot is a #8 for a regular drinking whiskey. For my palate, which is simple, it’s got weight, flavors and it’s enjoyable. I now have a beer chaser to wash and that starts the experience all over again. So over this is a keeper and I look forward to spend some more time with Mr Teeling....,
