About Keeper's Heart 10 Year Old Irish Single Malt Whiskey

Following 4 expressions that combined Irish whiskey with bourbon and American whiskey, Keeper's Heart 10 Year Irish Single Malt is their first release with an age statement. Once again, the whiskey was crafted by Master Distiller Brian Nation, a legend in the world of Irish whiskey who has left his mark on the likes of Jameson, Redbreast, and Midleton Very Rare. The whiskey is crafted from malted barley using copper pot stills. After distillation, it spends 10 years in ex-bourbon casks for that classic malt complexity. Finally, it's finished in Malaga wine casks, adding stone fruit and marzipan notes to the 86-proof single malt. The unique expression won several of the most prestigious awards, including being named "Best Irish Whiskey" at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2023.

About Irish Whiskey

Contrary to popular belief that Scots invented whisk(e)y, Irish whiskey was mentioned almost a century before its Scottish brother.

Its origin comes from the perfume distilling monks who decided to tweak the recipe a bit, creating Irish whiskey.

Irish whiskey doesn’t have a lot of rules and regulations to be considered “pure” and can be made with various grains and processes, as long as it is aged for at least three years in wooden casks and has a max ABV of 94.8%.
