Uh...yeah
This review is based on a four-ounce pour in a Glen Caron glass with two frozen medicinal stainless steel balls, medical grade. Poured this, let it sit 15 minutes, went to it multiple times to experience the scent in the glass. It is unlike any rye I have ever smelled. I can't even. Cherry leather. Can't compare to anything. Medicinal cherry flavored shoelace. Digging in deep on the nose. Deep inhale. Maybe brown sugar, but it's not pleasant. It smells like glue. It smells like I'm sniffing glue. Paint thinner, I must drink a lot of water with this one. Oh dear god, this is clearly an experiment. Drinking water now. Heavy Marzipan this was rye where they were like, oh, we gotta get rid of this. Let's quickly make a mash bill. hiccuping... I have never smelled anything like this before. I can't even say that I smell oak. Heavy deep sniffs, I smell oak.It that's it Oak Rye, light cherry, marzipan, and we're done. I don't want to drink the rest of this, but it's Halloween. It's not sweet. It's oaky medicinal, too high of a proof even at 47% Adding water now..... 25 oz... Cola... I can't I can't like this. I don't like it I'm gonna I'm gonna finish this because I poured it But I don't like it and I'm leaving this bottle probably forever at three quarters full. This is so unique of an expression that I can't wrap my head around it. It doesn't taste like rye. It tastes like a spiced bourbon. And they messed up on it and were trying to make some money off of it Probably because the barrels were somewhere in the rickhouse where they were like we forgot about these ones, well make a special release.

So many personalities in one bottle - all of them delicious!
I bought Sinatra because my S.O. loves whiskey (I am just learning to love whiskey) and we both love mid century crooners. Our first shot is always neat. The first sip of Sinatra was like swallowing fireworks. It just kept blooming and blooming. Not hot. Not harsh. Just delightful. Gradually I started tasting and smelling the full spectrum of flavors and scents. It takes me a long time to drink a shot of whiskey and that’s good because after an hour the tobacco and orange flavors were taking center stage. My S.O. put an ice cube in his second dram and he said it opened it up. It was not an improvement; more a whole new, equally good, experience. We drank the bottle down a good few inches in just two evenings. I probably should have written my review a few weeks ago but I had to wait until I had a chance to order a second bottle. I didn’t want the word to get out and the stock to disappear. This is definitely in our Top Three. I hope to be able to find it still in stock when Bottle #2 begins to get low.

15 years and still counting
I have been drinking Buffalo Trace bourbon whisky for about 15 years, and let me just say, it exceeded all my expectations as always. From the moment I poured a glass, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma alone is enough to captivate your senses, with hints of oak, caramel, and just a touch of spice. But it's the taste that truly stole the show. Smooth, rich, and incredibly satisfying, each sip dances on the palate, delivering layers of complexity that keep you coming back for more. Whether enjoyed neat or in a classic cocktail, this bourbon stands out as a true testament to craftsmanship. Needless to say, it has earned a permanent place in my liquor cabinet. If you're a bourbon enthusiast like myself, do yourself a favor and add this gem to your collection. You won't be disappointed. Cheers to exceptional bourbon!

Best Whiskey Bottle
I found myself in search of a new whiskey bottle. I do have to admit the name of this bottle is what first attracted me to it!
Traveller is the name of an album by Chris Stapleton. A country singer to which I have tickets for an upcoming concert.
So I thought why not let’s try out this bottle.
Now im not biased & this is my honest review. I received this bottle in less than 3 days. Purchased it Sunday afternoon & got it on a Wednesday. Packaging was great & bottle was unscathed upon delivery.
I opened the bottle & took in the aroma. It has a soft, smooth yet a little bit sweet smell to it.
I served a neat shot sized amount in a glass, and drank. When I tell you the aroma is just how it tasted! It’s the most perfect blend of smooth yet with a hint of sweetness to it. But it is not an overpowering sweetness, it is just perfect. The sweetness derives from a small caramel hint.
I’d have to say this bottle should be owned by every whiskey connoisseur out there.
If you know about Colonel E.H Taylor Jr Small Batch, a higher priced bottle yet the best I’ve had yet. This Traveller bottle is my runner up. For the taste & even better the price. It’s a win win. You win with the price tag & win with the flavor.
Now quit reading & add it to your cart. Thank me later!

This was just not it
I was in my local store, i explained to the man behind the counter what i did like, Jim Beam was a classic, Jameson is avalbile at every bar, Angels Envy is just fine in my cabinet, Old Forster statesman is lovely i have a recipe for french toast with old forester, Buffalo is a nice treat when you can find it. I could go on. But. He sugessted this. That it would just change my life and open my eyes if i bought this bottle of Hirsch. So I did, he was so adament, probably about early 40s so i figured he knew what he was talking about.
I tried it as a shot, i tried it on the rocks, i tried it out of the freezer, the fridge, i even tried cooking several dishes with it. This stuff ruins everything. I wouldnt even clean a wound with this stuff in the zombie Apocalypse. If you like it more power to you, but finally after 2 weeks of fighting with it i finally poured it on the ground because i didnt want my septic tank to get an upset stomach.

Rethink your Whiskeys
So there's something about pouring your Whiskey out of a tin with a screw top. It's not the same as some fancy green glass bottle with a snazzy cork. But I attended this one event for years. There was a bit of whiskey snobbery going on. I was told off for adding a splash of water to my glass of whatever-fancy-whiskey.... So one year, I started bringing a tin of Stillhouse, and I swear, the darn thing was empty within an hour or so.

So I am not a mixer.... I usually take my whiskey straight, or with a splash. But I like Stillhouse straight up. And I won't lie... it kicks like a grumpy mule all the way down... but it is wonderful ! Just take it a bit at a time and you will enjoy a punch in the face at first... but a firm and almost subtle after taste. I sense a very slight vanilla overtone in the first few sips. Others reported flavors of wood (in a good way). At any rate, no tin of Stillhouse has gone unappreciated, so highly recommended.

Bourbon Weller Blue is a triumph, a testament to the skill and dedication of those who created it
It is with great pleasure and utmost decorum that I pen this review for the Bourbon Weller Blue. The discerning connoisseur of fine spirits will no doubt find much to savor in this remarkable libation.

The Bourbon Weller Blue boasts a rich, amber hue that betrays the depth and complexity of its flavor. Upon nosing, one is greeted with a symphony of aromas, ranging from the sweet notes of honey and vanilla, to the warm, toasted oak that infuses the spirit with its distinctive character.

Upon first taste, one is struck by the remarkable smoothness of this bourbon, which is surprising given its robust and full-bodied nature. Rich and layered notes of caramel and brown sugar are offset by a subtle hint of spice, leading to a long and satisfying finish that lingers on the palate.

The Bourbon Weller Blue is an exemplar of the bourbon distiller's craft, a true masterpiece that bears witness to the artistry and passion of its creators. It is a spirit that rewards the discerning palate, and is sure to impress even the most fastidious of bourbon enthusiasts.

In short, the Bourbon Weller Blue is a triumph, a testament to the skill and dedication of those who created it. It is a spirit that speaks to the heart and soul of the true bourbon lover, and is sure to remain a favorite for generations to come.

Wasn't A Whiskey Drinker Until Now
I've never been a whiskey drinker except for the occasional mixed drink (my preferred mixed drink is (was) Jack Daniels and Ginger Ale. I was introduced to Buffalo Trace while visiting my brother in Tennessee. On the way home to Ohio, a friend asked me if I could find a certain brand of Whiskey. We stopped at Indian Hills Wine & Spirits in Pikeville, Ky. The fine gentlement working there introduced me to Buffalo Trace. They hyped it up so much I bought two bottles to take home. When we got home, I opened a bottle, boured a bit, let it breath and then tried it. Very nice. I'm not a bourbon connoisseur; all I really know is Jack Daniels and a few other popular brands. Buffalo Trace has changed my tasted for bourbon whiskey. I really enjoy drinking buffalo trace and ginger ale (I only use Bundaberg ginger beer). Recently, I was at a local bar and orderd a Jack and Ginger Ale since we do not have Buffalo Trace here in northern Ohio. WOW! I can't believe the difference Buffalo Trace makes when compared to Jack Daniels (Old #7). I had a 1.5 litre bottle of Jack Daniels that I've had since by son and daughter-in-laws wedding three years ago. I just gave it back to them! I ordered a case of BT from here at Caskers. Shipping was slow but everything arrived in-tact. Glad I found an online liquour store to purchase Buffalo Trace! The price here is better than it was at the liqour store in Kentucky as well. I'll be back! :-)

Terrible
I was baffled there wasn't a poor review of this whiskey that existed so I really felt compelled to keep people from buying this as a gift. I hear their Gin is pretty decent but this whiskey is hot and unbalanced. It's described as having a clove back-bone, but really, the pinot barrel made the juice a bit too cloying and ethanol-forward. Acrid, sour, spicy, and unbalanced, and unpalatable. They may have just cut the tails of the run weird on the batch that I received which may be a one-off because my suspicion is it came out at cask-stregnth and not 46%. That being said, I cut it with a lot of water to try to save the dram and it was still undrinkable.

Reminds me of an Irish whiskey which would make sense from a distillery that started with a Gin focus. The age (3years) isn't too bad, but Freeland's methodology needs a lot of rehashing or barrels need some serious rectification to bring more balance to this bottle and we may honestly throw it away.

Disappointing and overpriced.
"Rich, luxurious aroma of pine, raisins and sandalwood. Notes of brown sugar, walnuts and honey on the palate, that are well-complemented by notes of dried fruits, Christmas cake and baking spices. Finish is long and sweet, with a hint of chewy leather, ginger and oak". Quite a list of 'tastes' that are not apparent nor discernible. Fruit, Christmas Cake and spices, walnuts, brown sugar, pine, honey, raisins, sandalwood, ginger, oak and a 'hint' of chewy leather. Snobbish trash talk for all the hints I gather is chewy leather with the typical Scotch aroma predominant. I will say it is smooth and the finish does linger a bit and that's the best I can do.. I'm not new to Scotch Whiskey blended or single malt and I've been imbibing for over 60 years. Whiskey is NOT wine. Trying to give it all these superlatives like a well aged bottle of vintage wine is an exercise in futility. I had my first bottle of Glenlivet 12 year old, back in '75. The taste has never been the same since. Back then, Single Malts were not the 'in' thing to drink and describing all the 'hints' of flavors contained therein would have made whiskey drinkers laugh. Quality, to my mind and taste has gone down hill due to mass production and demand. I was expecting something very special with this 21 year old Scotch. It's not much different then an ordinary bottle of 12 year old. In short, if you are thinking of spending 25 thousand dollars for a bottle of 50 year old, I suggest you demand a wee dram prior to your purchase.
