Island Company Rum was born out of the idea to make the smoothest rum possible. The brand has its roots in 2002 when Spencer Antle began making and selling bikinis, with the company soon evolving into a lifestyle brand with a focus on tropical apparel. Island Company Rum is an ultra-premium expression that was released in 2017. It's handcrafted in Trinidad, where it's distilled 5 times for purity and ultimate smoothness ― the goal was to craft a spirit that would appeal to the mariners Antle knows throughout the Caribbean while being so clean and smooth that women could sip it straight. Bottled at 80 proof, it's a clean, gluten-free rum with no carbs and zero sugar. Filtered using a proprietary carbon-filtration process and enriched with extracts with no caloric impact, in fact, it has only 60 calories per ounce, fewer than vodka! it's a unique and innovative take on the famous spirit that defies categorization. The expression won several prestigious awards and medals across the world.

About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
