This whiskey is first aged for five years in new charred oak barrels, making it a bourbon. It then undergoes secondary maturation in decades-old casks seasoned by Pedro Ximenez sherry, which impart it with its color and character while adding a hint of sweetness to this smooth and complex spirit.

And then there's moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.
