About Rampur Asava Indian Single Malt Whisky

Rampur Indian single malt whisky hails from the foothills of the Himalayas, where the large temperature fluctuation with the Indian summer provides favorable conditions for whisky maturation. Handcrafted from barley to bottle, Rampur was built upon 75 years of distilling tradition and expertise.

Radico Khaitan is a legend of the Indian spirits industry. Established in 1943, the distillery was once known as the Rampur Distillery. "We are adding a new step to this wonderful journey with the jewels of Rampur Indian Single Malt," says Dr. Lalit Khaitan, chairman and managing director. Rampur has a rich heritage, tradition, and culture, providing ample inspiration to the whisky creators. They have several expressions in their lineup that include the Double Cask, Select, Asava, and PX Sherry.

Rampur Asava is initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being transferred into Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks ― a world's first! This results in a unique 90-proof single malt with a wonderful balance of fruity, honey, oak, and vanilla notes.
