About Negroni Set

CAMPARI
When you go about making a Negroni, the first thing you need is an indispensable Italian aperitif—Campari. The one by Davide Campari Group is the real deal, with its signature coral color and unmistakable bitter taste, which is the mark of sophistication. This timeless beverage is flavored with 68 herbs and spices that serve as a crucial part of the spirit, and removing even one would prove wholly wrong. Created between 1860 and 1867 in the cellars of the Caffè Campari coffee shop in Milan, it is an invaluable base for many a modern-day cocktail.

BOTANIST ISLAY DRY GIN
The next piece of the Negroni booze kit comes from Islay, Queen of the Hebrides, the most stunning of the southernmost islands in Scotland. In this jaw-droppingly beautiful piece of land lies the Bruichladdich distillery, which makes The Botanist Islay Dry Gin. It is crafted by Head Distiller Adam Hannett in the legendary Ugly Betty still from Lomond, using an original recipe from 1959. Made with 31 hand-foraged local botanicals, this rugged yet sophisticated Gin gentleman is bound to give you that blissful bitterness to any cocktail.

TRINCHERI DRY VERMOUTH
And finally, completing our Negroni exposé is the Trincheri Vermouth which still follows the Trinchero family’s Piedmontese recipe from the 1950s, ensuring the distilling process is down to a tee. Forged in the heart of Napa Valley with the help of French Colombard grapes, this proprietary aromatic amalgam is infused with 13 herbs and spices, including Roman Artemisa, Orris Root, and even Ceylon Cinnamon, to name a few! To complete this exquisite potion, the producers fortify it with Pale Dry Sherry, and voila! A star is born.

CAMPARI
The nose opens up with herbal, orange and floral notes with more distinctive aromas of aged orange peel, ruby red grapefruit zest, bay leaf and lemon thyme. Pleasantly bitter and punchy flavors of blood orange dance on the palate, together with a quinine bitterness from the herbs and a syrupy sweetness with notes of orange zest, mint and honey. The finish is long-lasting and zesty with orange peel and cloves.

BOTANIST ISLAY DRY GIN
When you take the first whiff of this gin, you are greeted with herbal freshness, juniper and sweet citrus. The nose is followed by spicy notes of cassia, coriander and mint, together with thyme, sweet gale and camomile botanicals. A subtly decadent walk is taken across your taste buds, with herbal and earthy tones from the angelica root, birch leaves, and bog myrtle leaves. It finishes on a warm, soothing note, gently fading away from bitterness and diving into a velvety peppermint mouthfeel.

TRINCHERI DRY VERMOUTH
The nose reveals an initial hit of spices, including Roman Artemisia, Cinchona Bark, Orris Root, and Ceylon Cinnamon, followed by a vibrant kick of bitterness, sweetness and flavor complexity. Lemon Peel, Juniper Berries and Yarrow flower are present on the palate, providing a sweet, tangy and slightly bitter finish—all in one sip!
