Recently, Woody Creek launched a Limited Edition Wheated Bourbon. With a mash bill of locally sourced 70% Colorado corn, 15% barley and wheat, this wonderful sipper spent 6 years in new American oak barrels after distillation in CARL pot stills, imported from Germany. Batch distilled and bottled at 94 proof, this rare spirit features notes of vanilla, sweet caramel and peach flavors with a long, fruity finish fading into oak spice. Sip it on its own or in a classic cocktail.

About Woody Creek Distillers

Situated in the valley of the Roaring Fork River, Basalt is a little mountain village at the heart of the Rocky Mountains, 15 miles west of Aspen, Colorado. This is the home of Woody Creek Distillers, a craft distillery founded in 2012 by Mary and Pat Scanlan and Mark Kleckner with a simple mission – to make the finest craft spirits with unique taste and character, honoring and protecting their origins and natural resources.

A grain to glass distillery, the grain is grown and harvested on their family farm and on the farms of their neighbors in Colorado. Tasting Notes

The nose greets you with notes of vanilla and peach with gentle spice. The vanilla soaked peach develops on the palate, fading into caramel, toffee and spiced cherries in the background. The finish is long and fruity with a touch of spice.
