About Vermont Ice Maple Bourbon Whiskey
Boyden Valley Spirits is located on a fourth-generation family farm in the picturesque valley of the Lamoille River in Vermont, the second-least populous US state, which is famous for its forested beauty, maple syrup and apple orchards. Proud to preserve family traditions and guided by integrity, David Boyden, the owner, started the business with his wife Linda to make wine in 1997.
In 2010, Vermont Ice Cream Liqueurs, a collection of craft distilled cream liqueurs was first launched, featuring wood-fired maple syrup and their own apple brandy. Boyden Valley Spirits is considered the first craft distillery in the US that specializes in cream liqueurs. To blend their cream liqueurs, Boyden Valley Spirits uses complex aged spirits and the finest ingredients, all sourced from Vermont.
Beside their liqueurs, they produce Vermont Ice Maple Bourbon as well. It's a small-batch bourbon that is infused with the Boydens' 100% pure wood-fired Vermont maple syrup that was aged in bourbon casks for 8 months. The whiskey itself is a 6-year-old bourbon. Bottled at 80 proof, it's a complex and smooth expression that isn't too sweet and makes for a delicious sipper as well as a versatile cocktail base that adds a maple syrup twist to your Whiskey Sour, Manhattan, or Old Fashioned.
