Rabbit Hole Founder's Collection: Raceking is a limited-edition, cask-strength expression with a scant 1,365 bottles available. Its name is a tribute to Kentucky's horse-racing tradition. The flavor is distinctly chocolate-forward, which comes down to the one-of-a-kind mash bill which features German chocolate-malted wheat and British chocolate-malted barley among its 5 grains.

"Crafting a fine bourbon is always a gamble, especially if you want to do something bold and original," says Zamanian. "I have never been one to play it safe. Everyone fears failure. I, however, let that fear drive me to be braver and more creative. To work harder, get inventive and take risks. For this edition of the Founder’s Collection those risks paid off. Raceking is an absolute stud." The whiskey was aged in new American oak before being bottled at 109.2 proof.

They produced their first barrel from their very own mix of carefully selected grains, which are mashed and fermented at ideal temperatures to preserve certain precise flavors and aromas, before being distilled without compromise.

Tasting Notes

It's a bold expression with a deep and rich color that is reflected on its complex profile. Chocolate-malted grains lead the charge with sweet cocoa, brown sugar, and toasted bread. On the palate, you'll find nutty notes, cinnamon, cherry, and tobacco. The finish is earthy with wood, leather, and lingering chocolate.
