About Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007 Rosé Champagne (1.5L)

First crafted in 1978, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is produced during exceptional years and in very limited quantities. 2007 was one such year with a mild winter, early flowering, rain, and a damp summer. August brought warm weather and an early harvest. The 2007 vintage was crafted with 50% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Meunier. Chardonnay brings the elegance and floral aromas, the remaining two fruitiness and the attractive pinkish hue. Aged 6 years, it's a delicate yet rich and versatile wine that pairs well with both sweet and savory food such as fish, duck breast, and cranberry sauce.

About Champagne

Champagne has been associated with royalties since the 17th century, still maintaining its glorious reputation.

The French take Champagne seriously, so coming from the Champagne region of France isn't the only requirement that keeps this drink from being "just sparkling wine." The rules of the appellation require specific vineyard practices, particular types of grapes, specific pressing methods, and secondary fermentation of wine.

The nose opens with floral and fruity aromas of pink flowers, wild strawberries, and kumquat. It's fresh and vibrant on the palate with a balance of fruit, pink grapefruit, mandarin, and a touch of brioche. The finish is long with lingering notes and a gentle saline component.
