About Fable Piper 7 Year Old Chapter Seven Linkwood Scotch Whisky
Fable Whisky is an independent Scottish bottler that was founded by industry veterans Andrew Torrance and Calum Lawrie with the idea of bridging the gap between quality Scotch and "the art of storytelling, animation, and illustration". The first part consists of the team sourcing exceptional and exclusive casks from some of the finest distilleries in Scotland ― both famous and little-known ― and bottling them straight from the casks without chill-filtration. The second part involves writer Des Waddy and visual artist Hugo Cuellar, the first providing adaptations of Scottish folk tales, and the second illustrations and designs. Chapter 7: Piper features whisky from the Linkwood distillery. Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2021, cask no. 300703 yielded a total of 302 bottles. The 7-year-old single malt was bottled at 116 proof and features a fresh, fruity, grainy, and spicy taste profile.

About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.
The nose is fresh and fruity with savory undertones, bright citrus, apple, floral, grain, and yeast notes. It's light on the palate with citrus, grain, and spice notes. The finish is sweet and brief.
