About Empirical Symphony 6

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Empirical aims to capture the treasured memories of birthday cakes, grandparents' traditional dishes, and various experiences ― all via spirits. Smells and flavors are linked with memories and Empirical has been exploring the connection since 2017. Empirical Symphony 6 is a spirit that defies existing categories. The unconventional drink was inspired by Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 and features the most botanicals that Empirical has ever put in a spirit and the list is entirely unique. It consists of 6 aromatic leaves: mandarin orange, lemon, coffee (rolled and unrolled), blackcurrant, and fig, as well as ambrette seeds and vetiver roots. Some of them are macerated separately, distilled, then blended with an infusion of the rest of the ingredients in a complex process. The resulting 80-proof spirit is versatile and will appeal to fans of botanical and citrusy spirits ― try it chilled, over ice, or as a substitute for gin in your favorite cocktail.
