About Crown Royal Honey Flavored Whisky

Each Crown Royal bottle is staying true to its roots by delivering a flavor that is worthy of any king and queen, and so is Crown Royal Honey Flavored. This spectacular flavored whiskey is a blend of the finest hand-selected Canadian whiskies that were distilled meticulously from predominantly local grain (corn, rye, and barley) before being aged in either new or re-used charred oak barrels. The blend is then infused by master blenders with the sweet taste of honey, making a traditionally smooth Crown Royal even smoother, more delicious, and extremely easy to drink. Sweet notes of honey are nicely balanced by some darker spicy notes, giving this expression some vibrant character. This honey whiskey is bottled at a gentle ABV of 35%, and is best enjoyed neat, or with some ice or soda. We’ve heard claims that with some ice and lemon, this wonder spirit can even have a healing effect!

About Crown Royal

Crown Royal Blended Canadian Whisky was created in 1939 as a gift for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth who made history when they became the first reigning monarchs to visit Canada. Upon hearing the historic news, Sam Bronfman, the owner of The House of Seagram, set out to craft a whisky suited for the Royal Couple. He meticulously trialed more than 600 blends before settling on an exquisitely smooth blend of roughly fifty whiskies which became known, fittingly, as Crown Royal. The final product was presented to King and Queen in a cut-glass decanter and regal purple bag with gold stitching. The train carrying the monarchs was stocked with 10 cases of the royal blend. Crown Royal was released in the United States in the 1960s and has since become the top-selling Canadian whisky. To this day, every drop of Crown Royal award-winning whiskies is crafted to meet the same uncompromising standards. The brand is now owned by Diageo.

Tasting Notes

Crown Royal Honey Flavored Whisky has a gentle nose with honey and oak. The palate is warm, with notes of honey that are nicely balanced by hints of spices and dark chocolate. The finish is moderately viscous with soft hints of honey sweetness.
