About Cooperstown Select Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Based in Otsego County, New York, Cooperstown Distillery crafts delicious whiskeys that are distilled on their custom-made stills from grains that are almost exclusively sourced from New York State farms. Cooperstown Select Straight Bourbon Whiskey is no different. Blended with pure water from Lake "Glimmerglass" and matured on-site in carefully-selected oak casks for at least 3 years, the bourbon is distilled from a 4-grain mash bill that only employs New York State grains. Soft and delicate, the 100-proof whiskey received the "Liquid Gold" award from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible in 2019 and 2020.

About Cooperstown Distillery

According to legend, the sport of baseball was invented in the pastures of Cooperstown, NY by American Civil War general Abner Doubleday — while many historians now consider this account to be a myth, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was nonetheless established in Cooperstown, and the town has virtually become synonymous with the sport of baseball itself.

"Opening a micro-distillery in Cooperstown has been a dream in the making for quite a few years," states Gene Marra, founder of Cooperstown Distillery. Indeed, Marra has successfully married two of America’s greatest pastimes — baseball and distilling — in Cooperstown Distillery, which is a certified "farm distillery" sourcing and utilizing over 51% of New York State based agricultural products.

Tasting Notes

This bourbon is delicate and soft despite being 100 proof. Look for aromas of fruit, chocolate, and cedar forest. The palate is gently sweet, creamy, and oaky with leather, chocolate, citrus zest, and hints of nuttiness. The finish is long and smooth with lingering notes.
