About Willie's Montana Honey Moonshine

Independently owned and operated, Willie’s Distillery earned a Gold Medal at the 2014 Craft Spirits Awards as well as Veteran-Owned Business of the Year in 2018. Montana Honey Moonshine is made with three Montana grains and a unique kind of molasses. This whiskey and rum hybrid is lightly barrel aged and sweetened with locally sourced honey made by the same bees that pollinate the crops, apple trees, and flowers sold at the Ennis Farmer’s Market. Smooth and sweet, this sweet honey shine is best enjoyed on the rocks or in any signature whiskey cocktail.

About Willie's Distillery

Established in 2010, Willie’s Distillery possesses a passion to create brands and products that capture the spirit and authenticity of the American West, supporting its local economy and residents. Founders Willie and Robin Blazer showcase local ingredients and regional flavor, to produce world-class spirits.

Willie’s Distillery boasts a bespoke copper pot still made by Bavarian Holstein Stills crafted by a family-owned company that has been building world-class spirits stills since 1958. They mill, mash, ferment and distill corn, barley and oats on site. Their veteran staff includes previous members of multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces acting in positions ranging from Production to Sales and Management.

After almost a decade, Willie’s Distillery has become Montana’s premier destination distillery producing several of the state’s best selling homegrown brands. And like the early days of the distillery, each step of production is done onsite, producing the spirit, bottling, labeling, corking and packing all of their spirits by hand.

Tasting Notes

Honeyed notes and mild floral aromas on the nose, the palate is initially smooth and light with honey flavors echoing the nose combined with notes of caramel corn and floral notes followed by a sweet lingering finish.
