About Mezcal Meteoro Espadin
An integral part of Mexican culture and tradition, both mezcal and tequila are made from agave, but tequila is actually a type of mezcal. While mezcal can be made from any of about 50 species of agave, tequila must be made from Weber blue agave.
Mezcal Meteoro Espadin is crafted with 100% Espadin agave. The agave hearts are mashed with a traditional stone wheel, called Tahoma, and fermented with natural airborne yeast in cypress wood vats. Double distilled in traditional copper pot stills, this artisanal mezcal is bottled at a pleasant 90 proof. A sweet and slightly earthy, savory and smoky spirit, this mezcal is the perfect option for mixing summer cocktails or for sipping neat.

About Mezcal Meteoro
Local legend has it that once upon a time a small meteor struck Oaxaca, Mexico, and left a crater. Supposedly, a mezcal maker with an entrepreneurial mind used that same crater as a pit oven for cooking his agave hearts. Inspired by this story, Mezcal Meteoro was created in 2012.
Produced in Las Margaritas, Oaxaca, by Mezcal Maestro Petonilo Rosario Altamirano, Mezcal Meteoro are unique, authentic mezcals, made with traditional Oaxacan methods.
About Mezcal
Mezcal is a distilled spirit made from roasted agave plants between two days and two weeks, which gives it a distinct smokey flavor.
What scotch is for whisk(e)y, mezcal is for tequila.
It can be made from different types of agave in different parts of Mexico, but most of it (60%) comes from the state of Oaxaca. Mezcal offers a large diversity of flavor profiles and ranges between 40 and 55% ABV.
