    Jameson Caskmates irish whiskey stout edition

    Jameson Caskmates is Jameson’s triple-distilled Irish Whiskey which has been finished in stout-seasoned casks. Franciscan Well, a local Irish craft brewery, borrowed some Jameson barrels to finish its stout., Upon returning to the Jameson distillery after a six month sabbatical at Franciscan Well, these now stout-soaked barrels were refilled with Jameson Irish Whiskey, resulting in the totally new and unique taste of Jameson Caskmates

    Tasting Notes:

    Hearty aroma of coffee, cocoa and fresh barley, which leads to a palate filled with honey, butterscotch, vanilla cream and a slight hop flavor. Finish is rich and smooth, with pronounced notes of toffee, caramel and bitter chocolate.

    jameson 18 year old limited reserve irish whiskey

    A special blend of three whiskeys that have each aged at least 18 years in hand-selected American bourbon and European oak casks, before finally being finished in first-fill bourbon barrels for 6-12 months. This finish adds another layer of velvety smoothness to the whiskey. This whiskey earned a score of 95 points from Wine Enthusiast

    Tasting Notes:

    Nose opens with spicy oak and toffee, which is followed by more toffee and fudgeem notes on the palate, as well as subtle hints of sherry. The bourbon cask finishing leads to a smooth, vanilla finish, brightened by previous notes of toffee and caramel.

    A blend of pot still and fine grain whiskeys that have been aged for a minimum of 5 years in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks that add spicy and sweet notes.
