About Fable Ghost 7 Year Old Chapter Eleven Benrinnes Scotch Whisky
Benrinnes is known to produce heavier and more full-flavored single malts, compared to typical Speyside. The folks at Fable Whisky aim to showcase the distillery character with their Fable Chapter 11: Ghost release. Distilled in 2014, the single-cask single malt spent 7 years in its hogshead (cask no. 303406) before being bottled in 2021 at 112.4 proof. Naturally, it was bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration and added coloring ― just like all the releases from the Scottish independent bottler. Fable is known for bringing together quality Scotch and "the art of storytelling, animation, and illustration". The first part was provided by Benrinnes, while the second is the work of writer Des Waddy and visual artist Hugo Cuellar, the latter providing the beautifully eery illustration that adorns the bottle.

About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.
The nose is grassy with caramel sweetness and malt. The palate is rich and sweet with honey, barley, chocolate, and crème brûlée. There's a gentle, spicy warmth on the finish with lingering peppery notes.
