Back in 1838, Pascal Dartigalongue had the brilliant idea of founding the first Maison d'Armagnac in the heart of the Bas Armagnac region. Now, in the present day, we find the dynamic and talented Françoise Dartigalongue, fifth-generation producer and current head of the company, enlisting her niece's husband, the knowledgeable agronomist Benoit Hillion, to join the family business. With his expertise, they continue to craft Armagnacs that are simply out of this world. Vintage connoisseurs will be pleased to know that Dartigalongue's youngest batches have been carefully maturing for no less than 15 years in 400-liter oak barrels, resulting in a taste that's truly worth the wait. Dartigalongue's Bas Armagnac Hors d’Age is a blend of different vintages, each contributing unique fruity, tannic, and floral notes, resulting in a balanced and refreshing medley of flavors. Their thorough aging process utilizes both dry and damp wood and produces a mouthfeel that is both lively and indulgent.
