About Courage+Stone

You might know the actress and comedian Aisha Tyler as the voice of Lana from the TV show Archer or Dr. Tara Lewis from Criminal Minds. But she's also a cocktail aficionado. She has recently partnered with Skinnygirl Cocktails and Bulldog Gin co-creator David Kanbar to launch her own brand of 80-proof ready-to-drink cocktails ― Courage+Stone ― that is based in Brooklyn, New York.

The idea was born of Tyler's own experience of getting home from work and craving a good quality mixed drink. But that involves more work and calls for specific ingredients that might not be on hand. These ready-made cocktails take the measuring, mixing, and mess out of the equation. The production and bottling take place in Brooklyn and Tyler often goes hands-on, filling the bottles herself. The Courage+Stone brand currently has an Old Fashioned and Manhattan in its lineup with a Gin Old Fashioned on its way.

About Cocktails

The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.

But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
