About Arbikie Kirsty's Gin

Kirsty's Gin, named in honor of Arbikie's Master Distiller Kirsty Black, was meticulously crafted to capture the spirit of the vast and wild Scottish farmlands that surround them. The selection of botanicals, including kelp, carline thistle, and blaeberries, all sourced from the local vicinity, were hand-picked by Kirsty and infused with a base spirit derived from the distillery's own farm-grown potatoes. Her endeavor resulted in a delicately intertwined balance of smooth, creamy, and floral aromas, with a hint of a seaside character on the nose that won them a Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Spirits Competition. Serve it up with tonic, blueberries, and a lemon twist for a truly enchanting experience!

About Arbikie

When it comes to distilling spirits, Arbikie takes a unique approach — one that is rooted (quite literally) in the vast and bountiful land that surrounds them. The three visionary brothers named John, Iain, and David have been tending to their 2,000 acres of land on the rugged Angus coast for over 350 years. And it's this wild terroir that gives their spirits their distinct character — the red sandstone-tinted soil, tempestuous weather, and its close proximity to the sea all come together to create a one-of-a-kind environment that imprints its mark on their spirits. And the Stirling brothers are more than up to the challenge. They call themselves "craftsmen of the soil," and for a good reason — they plant, sow, tend, and harvest every inch of their land. But the dedication of the Stirlings doesn't end there. Their commitment to a "field-to-bottle" approach is a reflection of their values of creativity, provenance, and authenticity, and it is clear that this dedication shows in the premium quality of their spirits.

About Gin

According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.

Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
