About Unbendt Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey

This expression is a grain-to-glass marvel, handcrafted using local north Texas grain. The fourth release in the Unbendt (unblended) line, this straight rye whiskey has been patiently aged for over five and a half years in 53-gallon new charred American white oak barrels. The result is a complex and robust whiskey with an alcohol content of 100 proof. It features tantalizing notes of stone fruits and pepper, culminating in a slightly spicy finish. But what makes it truly special? The use of Triticale Hybrid Grain, a wheat-rye hybrid that imparts a sweet, spicy note and a creamy mouthfeel. Now that's something you don't usually find in American Ryes! This whiskey is not just a favorite of co-founder Ryan DeHart and lead distiller Jacob Peraza, but also a highly anticipated release among whiskey enthusiasts. So why not join in on the excitement and savor the unique flavor profile of UNBENDT Rye today!

About Rye

As American as the bald eagle, rye whiskey was first brewed in the American Northeast in the 1600s. Even George Washington distilled it after leaving the Oval Office, so there’s no way of denying its origin.
It’s distinguished from bourbon for its original and unique spicy notes.

By law, rye whiskey must be made from at least 51% rye grain, aged in new and charred oak barrels for at least two years, and bottled at no more than 62,5% ABV.
