About TX Bottled-in-Bond Texas Bourbon Whiskey
TX Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon is a single-barrel wheated bourbon. The mash bill consists of corn, wheat, and barley grown in Texas by a fourth-generation farmer. It reflects the commitment to craftsmanship and tireless pursuit of excellence.
It takes considerable effort to earn a bottled-in-bond designation.
Its rules stretch back to 1897 when congress first laid out the regulations: one master distiller must oversee the creation of a spirit at one distillery, within one season.
Maturing must take place in new charred oak barrels for at least four years and the bourbon must be bottled at exactly 100 proof.
To bear the label "Bottled-in-Bond," whiskey must be produced in the United States and adhere to all of these strict guidelines.
