Surviving the French Revolution and two World Wars, Nolet Distillery was founded in 1691 by Joannes Nolet in Schiedam, Netherlands. Exporting spirits to the U.S. since the 19th century and perhaps most known for their Ketel One brand, this is the oldest running distillery in the Netherlands and it has been in the hands of the founding family since its very beginnings. Passing down craftsmanship and experience that spans over three centuries, today, the Nolet family distilling tradition is headed by the tenth-generation owner Carolus Nolet Sr.. Together with his eleventh-generation sons Carl Jr. and Bob Nolet, he strives to let the rich family tradition shine through yet combine it with modern tastes of the 21st century. By creating award-winning NOLET’S Silver and NOLET’S Reserve gins, Nolet family honors the centuries of experience while creating a modern take on gin.
Nolet’s Silver Gin is crafted with a unique combination of real botanicals that has never before been used in a gin. A wheat-based gin, the traditional botanical range includes citrus, orris root, liquorice and juniper. The modern and contemporary botanicals, however, are white peaches, Damask roses, and raspberries – these are incorporated as essences, made by a French flavor house. This results in a unique flavor profile with rose petals responsible for the lightness and refinedness, the peach brings fresh and sweet notes while the raspberry lends a robust and slightly tart flavor. Bottled at 95.2 proof, this is a an extremely floral and fruit-forward gin: a spirit for the new generation of gin drinkers. Best enjoyed in more exotic cocktails.

About Gin
According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.
Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
The nose is very floral with notes of rose petal, herbs and Turkish roses leading. The palate further develops the fruity and floral notes of raspberry, roses, peaches as well as the more traditional juniper and a hint of black pepper. The finish is long with fruity and floral notes.
