About Malfy Gin con Arancia

The gin is distilled by Master Distillers Denis Muni and Beppe Ronco. When Malfy gin was brought to the US in 2016 it was the first Italian gin to be imported there. In 2019 the brand was acquired by Pernod Ricard from its former owners Biggar & Leith. There are currently 4 gin expressions in the lineup: The Originale, the lemon-flavored Con Limone, the pink grapefruit Gin Rosa, and Con Arancia with blood oranges. This family-owned producer has been manufacturing spirits for several generations.

The Gin Con Arancia expression is distilled using a stainless steel vacuum still and crafted with Sicilian blood oranges and 6 botanicals. The infusion is created by steeping blood orange peels in alcohol. They are then pressed in a basket press, before being blended with the botanicals and distilled. It's a fruity, juicy, and sweet spirit that screams Sicily.

About Gin

According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.

Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
