Launched in 2012 by the Heaven Hill Distillery, Larceny Kentucky Straight Bourbon pays tribute to John E. Fitzgerald and the Old Fitzgerald brand. The flagship bourbon's big brother is the Larceny Barrel Proof, which is released thrice per year. Batch A121 was the first release of 2021. It's crafted with a mash bill of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley. Bottled without chill-filtration at 114.8 proof, the bourbon is aged between 6 and 8 years, making for a powerful & complex small-batch wheated bourbon with notes of caramel, cherry, and oak.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with caramel, vanilla, cherry, and floral undertones. Brown sugar, spice, citrus zest, black pepper, cocoa, and leather notes are on the palate, leading to a peppery, oaky, complex, and satisfyingly long finish.
