Kontapel Kontabas Authentic is a tribute to a centuries-old Ukrainian tradition, brought to life by the dedication of the Pelekh brothers. In 2018, while restoring a rural home in Zakarpattia, the brothers discovered 90 liters of a rare drink called Kontabas, aged since 1993, and its 18th-century recipe. This artisanal spirit is crafted from a unique distillate and aged with freshly cut blackcurrant buds, harvested only four days a year. The labor-intensive process yields a drink of remarkable depth and character, enjoyed by Ukrainian nobles since the 17th century. With a production limit dictated by nature, this amber-colored elixir is as exclusive as it is divine.

The amber-hued Kontabas greets you with an aromatic bouquet of currant branches, blackcurrant buds, and wild berries. On the palate, it unfolds as sharp, tart, and rich, with layers of blackcurrant, pine needles, green apple, and subtle woody notes. The long, soft finish leaves a lingering essence of blackcurrant, perfectly balancing its bold flavors.
