About Doc Swinson's Blender's Cut Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Doc Swinson's Blender's Cut has been at the heart of the small operation, serving as the basis for their Triple Cask Alter Ego Bourbon. During one of many late-night sampling sessions of the base bourbon, Doc Swinson's blender Jesse Parker noticed how hard it was to put down, eventually deciding to offer it to the public. It's a blend of 2 MGP mash bills: the first consists of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley, while the second is distilled from 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. Blender's Cut spends at least 5 years in American oak before being bottled at 115 proof. The delicious and versatile sipper won several of the most prestigious awards at competitions such as the New York International Spirits Competition, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and SIP Awards.

Tasting Notes

Stone fruit, vanilla, oak, pecan nuts, and cream lead the charge on the nose. The palate is rich with brown sugar, apricot, toasted oak, dark fruit, nuts, and a touch of chocolate, leading to a very long and warm finish.
