There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don't fall into those two strictly regulated categories.

The nose is bright and citrusy with prominent vanilla, peat, and mesquite smoke aromas. The palate is sweet with blackberry, honey, molasses, bran cereal, and chocolate, leading to a long and smooth finish.
