The 2022 release of Triple Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the oldest distillery in Scotland (as long as you don’t ask Littlemil or Strathisla) is a delightful whisky with great complexity and balance of flavor. As any old hearty distillery from Scotland, The Glenturret bets everything on a slow traditional handcrafting process of whiskey-making, using extra-slow distillation in hand-beaten copper stills to develop a hearty spirit that gets better and better over time. Tasting Notes

On the nose, this whisky offers aromas of grass, woodiness, autumnal apples, dark chocolate, and vanilla custard. On the palate, this whiskey has a complex and deep flavor with notes of orangy fruitiness, sweet citrus, dark chocolate, leathery oak, grass, vanilla, candied ginger, apple, peach, and some spicy pepper. The finish is long with some sweet notes, orange peel, and clove.
