About Ten To One Uncle Nearest Bourbon Cask Finish Caribbean Dark Rum

A groundbreaking Ten To One and Uncle Nearest collaboration in honor of Black History Month 2022 and a celebration of Black excellence.

Marc Farell, the founder of Ten To One Rum, and Fawn Weaver, founder of Uncle Nearest Whiskey came together to create this beautiful bottle. These two brand-owners are reclaiming the space and representation of historically overlooked industry POC - Pioneers Of Color. With their visionary powers combined, Marc and Fawn have created a unique expression illuminating the shared experience - oceans apart, but together as one. Their collaboration birthed a trailblazing expression that masterfully blends Caribbean and American sensibilities.

With one part - Uncle Nearest inspired by the first African-American master distiller on record in the United States, Nathan “Nearest” Green. And the other - Ten To One - leader of redefining the world’s perception of Caribbean rum. Ten To One Dark Rum finished in Uncle Nearest 1856 whiskey barrels (both award-winning spirits), is a luxurious experience with a big, multi-layered personality. This dram is bound to be extraordinary.

About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
