The House of Somrus, established in 2014, is an American company, based in Burr Ridge, IL, which created the world’s first line of India-inspired liqueurs. Flavors are at the center of their philosophy – without flavors the world would be dull, horizons narrow and conversations boring. Inspired by authentic Indian recipes and willing to share the best tastes and aromas of their home country of India with consumers of the world, the owners created the recipes in their home kitchen, using all-natural ingredients and spices.
Each expression pulls in different spices, ingredients and flavors that are then complemented by handcrafted rum and real dairy cream. They want to create unique expressions with a taste profile that is equal parts gourmet, homely and global. Somrus Mango Cream Liqueur is made with real Wisconsin dairy cream and 5x distilled handcrafted Caribbean rum. The base is married to delectable Alphonso mangos, also known as the king of mangos, creating a fruity and creamy expression, inspired by lassi, a popular traditional yogurt-based drink. Somrus is made without using artificial flavors, contains no preservatives and is gluten free.

This typical aperitif has its origins in 13th century Italy where it was used for medicinal purposes. The liqueur is produced worldwide and can have all sorts of flavor profiles, from fruit, spices, nuts, and even cream, and has a low proof of 15 to 30% ABV.
