About Pinhook Collaboration Series Edition No. 1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Inspired by the world of wines and the “winemaker’s approach to whiskey” – co-founder and Master Blender Sean Joseph has a background as a sommelier – Pinhook Collaboration Series 10 Year Old Edition No. 1 is a collaboration with Maison Noir Wines’ André Hueston Mack, a world renowned sommelier. Joseph and Mack are long-time friends who used to work together at the New York restaurant Per Se. Pinhook Collaboration Series 10 Year Old Edition No. 1 is blended from the 10 Wyoming Whiskey barrels that Pinhook acquired in 2012, yielding only two five-barrel batches. Distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Kentucky and bottled at 57.65% ABV, only 700 bottles of this sumptuous blend were produced.
Lovingly handcrafted and aged in Kentucky, Pinhook Bourbon was established in 2014 and has produced several small batch bottlings in their newly restored Castle & Key distillery in Frankfort, KY, to much critical acclaim. What makes their line unique is the brand’s three distinctive characteristics: its limited availability, mass appeal and strong ties to Kentucky’s legacy of horse racing. Each release of Pinhook Bourbon is named after a thoroughbred owned by Bourbon Lane Stable. The label also features the horse’s racing records on their brand’s website.

About Bourbon
There are not many things more American than bourbon, and although most of it is produced in Kentucky, it can be produced all over the USA. It must be made with at least 51% corn and bottled at 40% ABV or higher. So why not give this American classic a try?
The nose is pleasant with sweet aromas, baking spice, vanilla, caramel, and oak. The palate is full-bodied and flavorful with more oak, cinnamon, baking spice, and a touch of tobacco. The finish is unique and long-lasting with vanilla and caramel flavors.
