About O.F.C. Vintage 1994 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Buffalo Trace dates back to 1775. With its rich history of continuous operation, it's no wonder that they have plenty of really old whiskey maturing in their warehouses. O.F.C. takes its name after the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery, as Buffalo Trace was named in 1870. Releases from this series are matured for much longer than the 2 years required for straight bourbon, usually spending more than 2 decades in their oak casks. O.F.C. Vintage 1994 was distilled in the same year that saw the release of movies such as Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, and The Lion King. Then, the whiskey spent 25 years patiently maturing before being bottled in 2019. The 4th release from the series is a rare and highly collectible bourbon that was limited to 1,085 bottles. Fittingly, O.F.C. Vintage whiskeys come in a beautiful crystal decanter with real copper lettering.

About Buffalo Trace
Located on the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky, Buffalo Trace Distillery takes its name from an ancient pathway that the migrating buffalo used when traveling westward. The trail was well-known among Native Americans and was eventually used by pioneering settlers who crossed the Ohio River and followed the buffalo trace to the Western frontier.
Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest continually operating distillery in the United States and includes the rich legacies of master distillers such as E.H. Taylor, Jr, George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp, and Elmer T. Lee. Today, the distillery is still family-owned, operating on the same 130 acres of land adjacent to the Kentucky River as it has for over 200 years.
There are not many things more American than bourbon, and although most of it is produced in Kentucky, it can be produced all over the USA. It must be made with at least 51% corn and bottled at 40% ABV or higher. So why not give this American classic a try?
Look for dark fruit on the nose with cherry, butterscotch, brown sugar, and oak aromas. The palate is pleasantly sweet with toasted caramel, oak, and cinnamon leading to a long and oaky finish with coffee and herbs.
