About Hook Hand Bartholomew's Blood Orange Flavored Rum

Bartholomew's Blood Orange expression is infused with real blood orange and a touch of Madagascar vanilla, two natural ingredients that give it a distinctive personality without ever veering into candy-sweet territory. Bottled at 70 proof, it's crafted for those who want quality without pretension — a Spirit that works just as hard in a glass as it does in a story. And the awards agree: in 2025, Hook Hand Rum earned a Gold Medal at the LA Spirits Awards and a Bronze at the USA Spirits Ratings, proof that this Southern California upstart is playing in serious company. Whether you're at a waterside bar or hosting friends at home, this is a rum that earns its place at the table.

About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
