About Dewar's 12 Year Old Double Aged Blended Scotch Whisky

In 2022, the brand revealed its re-imagined 12-year-old Scotch, Dewar's 12 Year Old Double Aged Blended Scotch. Building upon their floral and honeyed Highland style with a touch of smoke, the new expression was crafted by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod. "It was only natural to experiment and craft a new element to the maturation process, which has resulted in a distinctly different tasting experience," says Macleod. It's a blend of up to 40 of the finest single malt and grain whiskies that were double-aged, then finished in first-fill bourbon casks. Bottled at 80 proof, the rich, fruity, floral, and complex whisky quickly gained traction, racking up several awards.

Tasting Notes

The nose is rich and fruity with peach and apple aromas followed by lemon zest. The palate is complex with floral, white pepper, and clove notes that lead to a long finish with vanilla and butterscotch.
