About Se Busca Mezcal

Se Busca is Spanish for "wanted". It was also the battle cry of the women that took part in the Mexican Revolution, fighting alongside the men. This mezcal pays tribute to those brave women as well as the rich history, culture, and diversity of Mexico.

The premium mezcal is produced in San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca, Mexico. It's crafted with 100% agave augustifolia espadin at the family-owned Lopes Sosa palenque, where they have been producing mezcal for over 5 decades. Handcrafted by maestros mezcaleros Rodolfo and Mary Lopez Sosa, the mezcal is the embodiment of the rebellious spirit of the women that fought in the Mexican Revolution. The design features artwork by Oaxaca artist Eduard Ramon Trejo.

About Mezcal

Mezcal is a distilled spirit made from roasted agave plants between two days and two weeks, which gives it a distinct smokey flavor.
What scotch is for whisk(e)y, mezcal is for tequila.

It can be made from different types of agave in different parts of Mexico, but most of it (60%) comes from the state of Oaxaca. Mezcal offers a large diversity of flavor profiles and ranges between 40 and 55% ABV.
