Co-founded by Joe Baker in Tennessee, Ole Smoky has a range of (un)flavored moonshine and whiskeys that they craft using time-honored traditions at the first federally licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee. Ole Smoky Original Moonshine embraces the renegade attitude that comes with the type of spirit and is based on a hundred-year-old recipe. It's a straightforward, unpretentious, and unaged spirit that's bottled ― well, not really, since it comes in a jar ― at 100 proof. Unflavored and unapologetic, the spirit is surprisingly smooth.

Tasting Notes

The nose is gently sweet with hints of corn on the nose as well as on the palate. The heat builds gradually until the sweet and clean finish that's surprisingly smooth.
