About Siete Misterios Espadin Mezcal

Founded in 2010, Siete Misterios is a traditional mezcal producer with a wide selection of mezcals that highlight a single agave varietal. The industrialization of tequila and low-grade mezcal make Los Siete stand out in their efforts to keep the true art of the mezcalero alive.

The mezcaleros change their bottles batch to batch so each batch may have an entirely different flavor profile from the next, giving Siete Misterios some variety with each bottling. A different person makes each batch, and the agave is also grown in a slightly different micro-climate so the mezcal may hold a slightly different ABV.

This Misterios Espadin is Los Siete’s flagship mezcal expression inspired by the hand milled and clay pot distilled mezcal of the small community of Sola de Vega, this mezcal delivers a sweeter and spicier character than the mezcals of other regions. Bottled at approximately 50% ABV, this mezcal is smooth, sweet, hand milled and distilled in a clay pot still to proof.

About Mezcal

Mezcal is a distilled spirit made from roasted agave plants between two days and two weeks, which gives it a distinct smokey flavor.
What scotch is for whisk(e)y, mezcal is for tequila.

It can be made from different types of agave in different parts of Mexico, but most of it (60%) comes from the state of Oaxaca. Mezcal offers a large diversity of flavor profiles and ranges between 40 and 55% ABV.
