About Conniption American Dry Gin

Conniption American Dry Gin is lovingly crafted at the Durham Distillery, the first of its kind in the United States to employ vacuum cold distillation with rotary evaporators. It's distilled in small batches with a process that combines traditional methods with a modern, lab-based approach. This involves a special two-step process, where botanicals such as coriander, angelica root, and juniper are vapor-infused on a custom German pot still. Then, the fresher botanicals such as cucumber, citrus, and honeysuckle are separately distilled at low temperatures, resulting in a clean, crisp, and modern gin that's bottled at 88 proof.

About Gin

According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.

Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
