About Tanqueray Sevilla Orange Gin & Soda 12-PackSaid to be Frank Sinatra’s favorite gin, the story of the legendary Tanqueray begins with Charles Tanqueray, who founded his distillery on the well-known Vine Street in Bloomsbury, near Piccadilly Circus. The origins of the recipe for the legendary London Dry Gin are not well documented, though the general consensus is that the recipe predates 1838. The brand’s uncharted success is very impressive considering the recipe for the gin has remained largely unchanged: neutral grain spirit infused with four known botanicals; juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, and licorice.
Its transcendental popularity is due to Charles Tanqueray and his pioneering spirit. Founding Tanqueray in his early 20s, Charles was barely a novice when it came to distilling, but he brought his brand to great success. It took him some 300 recipes to arrive at "The One". When he died in 1868, his son inherited the distillery, continuing his success. Today, the brand is owned by industry giant Diageo, selling over 2 million cases each year, making it one of the top five selling gins in the world.
In 2020 Tanqueray launched their first threesome of canned bartender-quality ready-to-drink cocktails: Tanqueray Gin & Tonic, Tanqueray Rangpur Lime Gin & Soda, and Tanqueray Sevilla Orange Gin & Soda.
Tanqueray Sevilla Orange Gin & Soda combines the complexity of a Tanqueray London Dry Gin and the unique bittersweet and zesty taste of Seville orange with their signature sparkling soda water. Made with natural flavors and certified colors, the result is a unique, smooth, and delicious taste experience, that is ready to be enjoyed in an ice-filled wine glass and garnished with an orange wheel. Beautifully presented in a 12-pack to boost any social gathering.
The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.
But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
