About SK Carbon Vodka
SK Vodka Carbon is a light and smooth Ukrainian vodka that goes through a thorough process to get its unmistakable crisp character. The secret ingredients are soft winter wheat (typically used for cookies and pastry) and artesian spring water. They filter this award-winning spirit nine times and distill it five times. SK Vodka Carbon was introduced in 2015 and won Gold at the San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition and another Gold at the Canadian Rating's Institute.
The Hetman Distillery in Lviv has a long history. It all started in 1782 when the Baczewski family (a very eminent lineage) founded the oldest distillery in town. They provided the royal court with the finest spirits and exported them to Paris, Vienna, and Prague. In 1996, the Hetman brand was registered, combining modern distilling hi-tech and rich tradition.
Historians are not clear on the exact origin of vodka since different sources link its beginning to both Russia and Poland. But one thing is clear: this somewhat simple spirit, first used as a medicinal concoction, has become one of the most versatile drinks in the world.
It can be distilled from any type of grains, potatoes, or even grapes worldwide. Due to its simplicity, this unaged spirit's main flavor factor is the quality of water and the ingredients used in the distillation process.
Primarily used in cocktails, vodka can also stand its ground when enjoyed neat.
