About Mandala Día de Muertos Extra Añejo Tequila 2020 Edition
Founded in 2016 by Jose Joel Garcia Barreto, Arturo Lomeli Ibarra, and Humberto Ibarra, Tequila Mandala was born of the idea of bringing a premium sipping spirit to the United States. A mandala is a configuration of symbols that can be found in many religions across the globe, transcending cultures and borders. Just like mandala, family is equally infinite and serves as the pillar of Mexican culture. This tequila celebrates the most important things in life: family, friends, and companionship.
Crafted with 100% agave azul, the Mandala Extra Añejo spends up to 7 years in French white oak barrels, the last two years in cognac casks. It's an intensely fruity and oaky expression that is bottled at 80 proof. The 2020 Edition of the Mandala Día de Muertos Extra Añejo Tequila features depictions of Mexican marigold flowers ― the bright orange and yellow flowers that are said to attract the souls of the departed during the Day of the Dead celebrations.

About Tequila
Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there's more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.
This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.
Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age - from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.
This elegant and full-bodied tequila opens with intensely fruity aromas, toasted oak, and spice on the nose. The palate features a balance of sweetness with fruit, agave, oak, and vanilla notes, culminating in a long and smooth finish.
