About Mala Vida Reposado Tequila

Alex Gonzalez, better known as ‘el animal,’ is a Mexican rockstar and spirits producer. Not many can claim this special status, but Alex gracefully juggles both careers, combining playing in the pop rock band MANÁ alongside producing a vibrant tequila that showcases Gonzalez’s rock soul and his admiration for the Jalisco region. Tequila Mala Vida was founded in 2016 and boasts the three classics: a blanco, an añejo, and a reposado. In fact, Mala Vida Reposado Tequila is such a pleasantly aged tequila that Alex swears by it. Its crop is taken from Los Altos, Jalisco, grown between 1800 and 2200 meters above sea level. Clocking in at 40% ABV, its rich flavors are accredited to French and American oak barrels. This classic agave spirit includes an equilibrium of cooked agave and fruit, with added vanilla and caramel to tease out the oak flavors. Its well-rounded body and lingering taste are perfect for any social occasion or an occasional solo-reflective dram.
