Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 2 Limited Edition Cognac
The much anticipated Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 2 cognac is the second in a new craft series showcasing the best of the world’s largest cognac reserve. This Cognac is composed of eaux-de-vie that are a minimum of ten years old—each one spending time (at least 18 months) in young coarse-grained French oak barrels before being aged further in old barrels.
In 1765 Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in the army of Louis XV, founded Maison Hennessy with a bold vision: to create the world’s finest cognacs. Today, Hennessy the brand is all but synonymous with cognac. As a tribute to a very important moment in Hennessy’s history, the first shipment of cognac to the United States in 1794, the Master Blender’s Selection No. 1 is making its debut in the North American market. Crafted as if it were a recipe for sharing with family and friends, the blend is unique by virtue of its singularity and its hand-curated selection process. Like an intricate freehand portrait, it is an intimate expression of creativity and passion. To evoke the blend, Paris-born illustrator Ugo Gattoni conjured a large-scale dreamscape that captures the meticulous attention to detail that is essential to the Master Blender’s craft. Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 2 is the second in a series that was initiated by former Hennessy Master Blender Yann Fillioux. Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 2 cognac is crafted as a single batch at a cask strength 43% to release powerful aromatic tones combined with delicate spicy notes. The eaux-de-vie used in the blend are aged at least ten years and were each aged for 18 months in young coarse-grained French oak barrels before being transferred to old barrels for additional aging. This highly anticipated, beautiful Cognac is a spicier, bolder blend than its predecessor, with distinguished sweet and spiced notes. This Cognac is an extremely limited release, so pick up your bottle today!
