About Tip Top Proper Cocktails

Great ideas often stem from unlikely places. Tip Top originates in the world of live music, where the experience is paramount and great cocktails often out of reach. It was in 2018 that childhood friends Neal Cohen and Yoni Reisman founded the canned-cocktail company, after recognizing the niche. The pair was working in the music industry, noticing how quality cocktails were missing from concerts and various other events.

Soon, they were joined by Miles Macquarrie, James Beard Award finalist and mixology wizard of Kimball House and Watchman’s Seafood & Spirits fame. With Macquarrie working on recipe development, the three came up with just as many cocktail classics, remade for convenience. Balanced, not too sweet, and retaining the level of quality one would expect from a drink served at a proper cocktail bar, they developed a Manhattan, Old Fashioned, and Negroni, conveniently packaged in 100ml cans. In 2019, the threesome officially launched.

About Cocktails

The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.

But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
