About The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Old Fashioned Cocktail (375mL)

The Glenlivet has been about unconventional methods since its inception in 1824 when Founder George Smith managed to establish the first legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet. Today, the brand remains forward-thinking, a trait that defined its lineup of The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails. Ready-to-drink cocktails are all the rage, and the folks at The Glenlivet figured out a new way to bring freshly-mixed cocktails to your home bar. It starts with a bottle of The Glenlivet single malt Scotch ― a solid base for a high-quality cocktail. It's the bottle cap that holds special tech: ingredients are held in a pressurized system that is released when the cap is twisted, mixing with the whisky. All that's left is to pour the freshly-mixed cocktail over ice and enjoy. Each 375ml bottle of the Twist & Mix Old Fashioned Cocktail is good for approximately 8 serves and keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks after opening. The unique 80-proof cocktail is silky smooth with orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg notes complementing the fruity and floral notes that the Speyside single malt is known for.

About The Glenlivet

During the early 19th century, illegal distilleries were commonplace throughout the Speyside region of Scotland. In 1823, however, Alexander Gordon pushed the Excise Act of 1823 through Parliament. The Excise Act allowed illegal distillers throughout Scotland to apply for and obtain licenses to legally distill spirits. In 1824, a businessman named George Smith applied for one of the first licenses in the Speyside region of Scotland and opened the doors to The Glenlivet Distillery. For nearly two centuries, The Glenlivet Distillery has been producing the “single malt whisky that started it all.”

About Cocktails

The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.

But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
